Let’s split the points into two distinct categories:
1. Visualization makes data-science look easy.
2. The backend work is difficult.
I don’t think this split is at all new. I think that data visualization has always been layered on top of the hard work as a sort of veneer. Just the same was as a well crafted piece of furniture doesn’t connote the fact that the craftsman needed to measure, machine tool, hand tool and apply a finish the material. So, this strikes me as how things should be.
We’re best to embrace this fact instead of trying to show the labor which brings forth the results. Those who came before us certainly did.
